Industrial Chocolate Mud Cake

Ingredients Required:
  • Chocolate Mud Cake Mix -1000 g
  • Egg – 270 ml
  • Canola Oil – 280 ml
  • Water – 280 ml

Method:
  • Preheat your oven to 175°C (160°CF for a fan forced oven)
  • In a large bowl combine Water, Oil, and Egg Well & Good Chocolate Mud Cake Mix.
  • Mix until the ingredients are well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into the cake tin. Set to bake for 50-60 minutes, inserting a skewer into the centre of the cake and checking consistency is a good indication of how you cake is going. If the skewer is clean your cake is ready to come out of the oven.
  • Rest for 5 minutes in the cake tin, then place on a wire rack to cool.

Chocolate Ganache Icing:
  • Boil 170 ml cream then turn of the heat.
  • Stir through 375g of melting chocolate until it is well mixed and melted.
  • Allow to cool and then spread over the cake with a spatula or broad knife.

Store in a cool dry area away from direct sunlight.

Brownie / Fudge

Ingredients Required:
  • Mud Cake Mix -1000 g
  • Margarine (or Butter) 250 g
  • Dark Chocolate 500 g
  • Egg 400 mL

Method:
  • Melt margarine (or butter) and chocolate in a microwave oven and mix well.
  • Add egg and mix well
  • Add mud cake mix and continue mixing
  • Pour batter into baking tray
  • Bake at 160 C fan forced oven
  • Time:   40 – 50 minutes (depending on tray size)

Allergen control can be maintained by the use of margarine for dairy free product in place of butter, and chocolate selection.
