Continental White Bread Mix (large loaf)

Ingredients Required:
  • Continental White Bread Mix – 1000 g
  • Water – 950 mL (ambient)
  • Oil – 50 mL

  1. Preheat oven to 205°C (190°C fan forced)
  2. Prepare 24cm x 12.5cm x 12cm bread tin
  3. Combine dry ingredients
  4. Add water
  5. Mix on slow speed for one minute.
  6. Turn to speed 2 and mix for a further 1 minute.
  7. Add oil; mix for another minute.
  8. Fill tin and spray top with lots of water.
  9. Allow to stand for 15 minutes.
  10. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes
  11. Turn on steam in the oven 5 -8 seconds.

TIPS: For flavoured bread; add about 10-15% of flour weight. (eg; tomato, onions, olives, etc). For improved height and freezer stability add 2% Soy Flour and 2.5% egg powder based on flour weight. Updated: 20 November 2015
